Add Location
ALT Radius provides an option to configure location-based NAS working. This means the NAS router operates only within a specific geographical area.
The software gives five levels for defining the area. Each NAS working at a different level cannot assign customers from other regions or areas. NAS works only for a certain region.
A parent-child model is used here.
Example:
Faisalabad is a big city with many areas like Kohinoor City, Dground, Razabad etc. Partners having only access to the Kohinoor NAS router can not register the D-ground area customer. But a partner who’s assigned the Faisalablad area can register customers from any area, like Kohinoor city, Dground and Razabad.
This way, an admin can define a five level localization system.
-
Go to the Configuration sidebar option
-
Click on Localization and Region
-
Location level
-
Add location.

The location defined here will be used later. In adding a router NAS and assigning an area to Partner creation. A partner can add customers of that particular area only.
Detailed Guide to create 5-level localization
On Add location, Enter the name of the city or country you want to create a further subsection. This will add a top level city/country.
To further create a level, go to the name added in the list and click on the add icon to further add a location. This way you can go up to 5 levels.
Example 1:
Level 1: Pakistan
Level 2: Sindh Province
Level 3: Cities ( Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Larkana )
Level 4: Karachi District, like Korangi District
Level 5: Town in District like the Korangi district, has four towns ( Korangi, Landhi, Shah Faisal Town)
It is not necessary that you must add up to 5 levels. You can create levels according to the requirement.
Example 2:
It could be university-level area creation or school-level department-wise internet distribution.
Level 1: NEDUET
Level 2: Departments (Human Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical, Civil, etc)
Level 3: Labs ( Instrumentation, Automation, Power System)
