Branch Ledger
The Branch Ledger brings together the branch's reserve, partner balances, direct customer receivables, tax liability, and reconciliation. It helps a branch admin see what the branch holds, owes, and is owed beyond an individual customer invoice.
Where to find it: Sidebar → Finance → Branch Ledger. The area is available to branch admins with the relevant ledger permissions. Partners see their own standing in the Partner Statement instead.
Choose the right tab
| Tab | Use it to |
|---|---|
| Branch-Funded Reserve | Review money funded by the branch and its movements. For funding and wallet corrections, see Branch Funded Reserve. |
| Partner Receivables | Track credit issued to partners before they pay, including due dates and settlement. See Partner Receivable. |
| Partner Settlements | Review commissions, reimbursements, clawbacks, and payouts. See Partner Settlements. |
| Customer A/R | Review unpaid customer invoices where the branch is the creditor rather than a partner. |
| Tax Liability | Compare tax collected with tax remitted and the amount still payable. |
| Reconciliation | Compare recorded flows and investigate differences before closing a period. |
The first three tabs have their own detailed guides so this page remains a navigation and decision guide rather than a duplicate of those pages.
Do not mix funding routes: a branch-funded reserve transfer, a manually recorded partner payment, an online partner top-up and a settlement payout have different sources and ledger effects. Online top-up needs a suitable active gateway with partner top-ups permitted; a manual method name does not provide one. See Online Payment Gateways for setup and Payment Methods and Accounts for recording money received outside the CRM.
Customer A/R
Customer A/R shows the branch's direct customer receivables. Its summary includes total outstanding and aging buckets. Each row identifies the customer, plan, balance, and age of the debt. Use Pay to open the standard payment-recording dialog for a branch-owned receivable. Partner-managed customer receivables belong to the partner, not this tab.
An empty table means no branch-direct customer currently owes a balance on branch credit. For individual charges and payments, use Invoices and Payments.
Tax Liability
Tax Liability shows what the branch has collected, remitted, and still owes. Review the Collected, Remitted, and Payable summaries before recording a remittance. The separate Unpaid Partner A/R Tax figure highlights exposure on partner-managed customer invoices that have not yet been paid; it is not cash already collected by the branch.
Use the tax entry list to trace a figure to its source invoice, receipt, customer, or partner. Recording a remittance requires the appropriate permission and a documented amount and reason.
Reconciliation
Use Reconciliation to check that the branch's recorded movements balance before a period close. Review any difference by source and date, inspect the underlying ledger entries, and correct the source transaction through the supported current-dated workflow. Do not add an unexplained balancing entry merely to make a difference disappear.
For the locking step after review, see Period Close & Partner Statements. For transaction-level investigation, use Transactions.
