Leads
Leads is the sales side of AltRadius — where you track prospects from first contact until they become paying customers. Each lead carries the prospect's contact details, a position in your sales pipeline, a deal value, an assigned owner, and a running history of comments, to-dos, documents, contracts, and price quotes. When a prospect agrees to sign up, the built-in conversion wizard turns the lead into a live customer (optionally with services and an invoice) in a few guided steps.
Availability: The Leads module appears only in installations where it has been enabled for your branch and role. If CRM → Leads is absent, ask your branch administrator to confirm availability rather than following a hidden configuration route.
Where to find it when enabled: Sidebar → CRM → Leads. The sub-menu has Dashboard and List. Pipeline, source, and conversion settings may require administrator access and may not appear in every installation.
The leads list
The list shows every lead in your branch with a pipeline-stage badge on each row.
Columns: ID, Status (pipeline stage), Full Name (with a Converted badge if the lead has already become a customer), Phone Number, Email Address, Score, City, Date Added, Zip Code, and Actions.
Filters:
| Filter | What it does |
|---|---|
| Lead Assign ("My leads") | Limits the list to leads owned by you. |
| Leads Condition | All leads, Active leads (still in progress), or Converted leads. |
| Pipeline | Show only selected pipeline stages. |
| Entries | Page size. |
| Show / Hide Archive | Toggles archived leads in and out of the list. |
| Trashed | Shows soft-deleted (trashed) leads, if your role can see them. |
A free-text search box runs across the leads.
Archive vs Trash
These are two separate mechanisms and a lead can be in both:
| Archive | Trash (delete) | |
|---|---|---|
| Purpose | Set an active lead aside for later. | Recycle bin for removed leads. |
| How | Move to Archived / Remove From Archived on the row. | Delete action on the row. |
| Where it shows | Hidden until Show Archive is on. | Hidden until Trashed is on. |
| Recovery | Toggle it back out of archive. | Restore it, or permanently delete it (with the right permission). |
Leads dashboard
Where to find it: CRM → Leads → Dashboard.
The dashboard gives sales managers an at-a-glance picture of the pipeline. It shows KPI cards — Tasks for today, New Leads, Active Leads, and Deals — above a set of widgets:
- To-Dos — scheduled tasks pulled from lead comments (columns: Lead, Admin, To-Do, Scheduled, Actions).
- Recent Activities — a timeline of lead creates, edits, and deletes.
- New Leads and Sources — charts of new-lead volume and where leads came from.
- Sales Funnel — lead counts progressing through the pipeline stages.
- Payments — paid/unpaid invoices, credit notes, and total income tied to converted leads.
- Leads per Owner — distribution of leads across your sales team.
- Tickets Statistics — related support-ticket counts.
Create a lead
Where to find it: CRM → Leads → Add.
| Field | What it does | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Full Name | The prospect's name. | Required. Up to 255 characters. |
| Pipeline status | The starting stage in your sales pipeline. | Required. |
| Owner | The salesperson responsible. | Choose a sales-team member or Me. |
| Phone Number | Primary contact number. | Country selector (defaults to Pakistan). Must be unique if given. |
| Email Address | Contact email. | Up to 255 characters, must be unique if given. |
| Source | Where the lead came from (website, referral, advert…). | Drawn from your configured sources. |
| Partner | The partner the lead belongs to. | Required. Drives the location list. |
| Location | The service location. | Required. Populates after you pick the partner. |
| City | City of the prospect. | Optional. |
| Street | Street address. | Optional. |
| Zip Code | Postal code. | Optional. Numeric. |
| Score | A qualification score — higher means more likely to convert. | Required. Whole number. |
| Billing Type | Preferred billing type (e.g. prepaid, postpaid). | Optional. |
| Date Added | When the lead entered the system. | Optional; defaults to today. |
| State / Province | State or province. | Optional. |
On save you'll see "Lead created successfully!"
The Partner dropdown, the partner column, and any partner wording follow your branch's partner setting — on a branch that operates without the reseller layer, the partner concept simply doesn't appear.
The lead information page
Clicking a lead's name opens its information page — the working hub for that prospect. Across the page you'll find:
- A profile header with the pipeline-stage selector, the Set Deal Value button, and the owner selector.
- An Information card with every editable field from the create form. Saving shows "Lead information updated successfully!"
- A Recent Activities timeline (created / edited / deal-value / pipeline / assignment events).
- A Comments / To-Dos panel (see below).
Pipeline stages
Pipeline stages are configurable when your installation exposes the Leads configuration screens. Out of the box the stages map to New, In Progress, Won, and Lost, and each stage has a display name, an order position, and a target number of days to complete.
To move a lead through the pipeline, click a stage in the selector on the lead's information page. The change is saved immediately and recorded in the activity timeline.
Deal value
The deal value is the money you expect the deal to be worth. Set it with Set Deal Value on the lead's information page (an optional note can accompany it); it can also be set from a quote's total. The value cannot be negative. Saving shows "Deal value updated successfully!"
Assignment (owner)
Assign a lead to a salesperson from the owner selector. Eligible owners are your sales-team members, plus Me (yourself). Saving shows "Lead assigned successfully!"
Comments, to-dos, and activities
The Comments / To-Dos panel holds threaded notes. A comment can be a plain note or a scheduled to-do (with a due date and an assignee), and can carry a colour badge. Scheduled to-dos surface on the Leads Dashboard under Tasks for today / To-Dos. You can add, edit, and delete comments.
Separately, Recent Activities is an automatic audit log — it records who created, edited, or deleted the lead and its related records. You don't write to it; it fills itself.
Documents and contracts
Each lead has a Documents area for files and generated contracts.
- Upload file — attach a document with a title, optional description, and a Visible to customer toggle. Allowed files: PDF, DOC, DOCX, JPG, JPEG, PNG, up to 5 MB each.
- Generate / Contract — generate a document from a template. Contract documents add options to mark the document as a signed contract, flag that the contract has a term, and set the term length in months.
Documents can be viewed or downloaded as PDF and are soft-deleted (recoverable) when removed.
Quotes
Quotes are the price proposals you send a prospect. Open a lead's Quotes to create and manage them.
Quote list columns: Status, Number, Document Date, Valid Until, Total Amount, Quote To, Actions.
A quote captures:
| Field | What it does | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Quote Number | The quote's reference. | Auto-generated and unique. |
| Document Date | The quote's issue date. | Required. |
| Valid Until | The expiry date. | Required. |
| Pipeline | The pipeline stage the quote is tied to. | Required. |
| Note / Memo | Free-text notes. | Optional. |
Line items. Each quote holds one or more line items — description, quantity, unit, price, and a tax rate. AltRadius calculates the Sub Total, Tax, and Grand Total for you; never key the totals by hand.
Statuses: New, Sent, Accepted, Denied, and On Review.
PDF and archive. Generate or download the quote as a PDF, and archive quotes you no longer need active ("Quote added to archive" / "Quote removed from archive"). Quotes are soft-deleted (recoverable) when removed.
Convert a lead to a customer
When a prospect signs up, the conversion wizard turns the lead into a live customer. Open the lead and start the conversion — it runs in three steps.
Step 1 — Select Quotes. Pick which of the lead's quotes to carry into the new customer (you'll see each quote's number, status, valid-until date, and total).
Step 2 — Customer information + conversion type. The customer form is pre-filled from the lead (name, street, email, city, zip, phone, state/province); you add the billing email, customer category, and billing type. Then choose how to convert:
| Conversion type | What it does |
|---|---|
| Active (without invoice) | Creates an active customer with no invoice. |
| Active (with invoice) | Creates an active customer and generates an invoice. |
| New (with proforma invoice) | Creates a new customer with a proforma invoice. |
The configured defaults determine the "won" stage and default customer type used at conversion. Ask your branch administrator if the Leads configuration screens are not available.
Step 3 — Services. Define the customer's services — description, quantity, unit, price, billing period, start/end dates, discount flag, access device and router, portal login and password, IP assignment (IPv4 method, IPv6/delegated networks), MAC addresses, port, and related connection details.
What carries over: the prospect's contact details (name, address, city, zip, email, phone, state/province), the lead's documents (linked to the new customer), its comments (preserved in the activity log), and the quotes you selected.
What does NOT carry over: lead-only fields such as the score, source, and pipeline stage.
What happens to the lead: it is marked converted (set inactive rather than deleted) and stays visible under the Converted Leads filter with a Converted badge. From then on its name links to the new customer record, not the old lead form.
Troubleshooting / FAQ
- A converted lead still shows in the list. That's expected — conversion marks the lead inactive rather than deleting it, so it stays under the Converted Leads filter with a Converted badge.
- I can't find an archived (or deleted) lead. Turn on Show Archive for archived leads, or Trashed for deleted ones — both are hidden by default.
- The Location dropdown is empty. Pick a Partner first; the location list is populated from the chosen partner.
- The quote total looks wrong. Totals are calculated from the line items — check each item's quantity, price, and tax rather than editing the totals directly.
